Introducing Whoa: A Most EXCELLENT Keanu Reeves Podcast
He’s a lovable time traveler and he can defy the laws of physics in a bus. He’s an F-B-I agent and yeah, we’re thinking he’s back because, as we all know… he is most definitely The One.
But he’s also a penniless music instructor who kills John Malcovich with a sword. He fights evil and dragons as a samurai, in a fairy book land with Santa and to rescue his lady from the clutches of a vampire. He is the improbable Shakespearian brother of Denzel Washington, and a human flash drive and a hapless hit man, and the bigillionaire mastermind behind a Chinese fight club/reality show.
Yes, Keanu Reeves is MANY things.
And he is also sometimes Buddha. Ok, just the one time. Still, Keanu Reeves is Buddha.
Hello everyone and welcome to WHOA: A most excellent Keanu Reeves Podcast.
Please Listen Here to WHOA: E00 Intro to Whoa where Alice & I chat about the origin story of WHOA: A Most Excellent Keanu Reeves Podcast and what you can expect in the weeks to come! Including an exciting WHOA: Battle of the Keanus panel at Phoenix Comicon.
Coming in Episode One
Episode 1 features a 1986 TV movie Brotherhood of Justice. In this magical ’80s time capsule, Keanu plays Derek. Derek is a troubled rich kid with an eye for justice, a passion for brotherhood, and a real chip on his shoulder when it comes to Kiefer Sutherland making eyes at his lady. Episode 1 also features a discussion of 2016’s Exposed. In this straight to VOD nightmare Keanu plays Detective Galban. The detective sets out to unravel the mystery surrounding the death of his partner and what he discovers is a disturbing and confusing mess.
Episode 1 is coming at you on June 1st, 2016 and will be available to you after that for all time and eternity in perpetuity and for forever, if I understand at all how the Internet works.
Meet Your HostFor the record, I may not understand how the Internet works. It may be on the list of things that I, your WHOA host Krissy Lenz, do not understand. On the list of things I DO understand, however, all we are is dust in the wind, dudes. Seriously. Dust. Wind. Dudes.
Hi, I’m Krissy. I will be your fearless guide through the WHOA experience. I am a Geek Host! Look back through the catalog here at Educating [Geeks] and you will find me sharing my thoughts and feels on topics such as Supernatural, Portal, Mad Max and more. I am one of the directors of National Comedy Theatre, a fantastic little improv comedy theatre in Mesa, Arizona. You can find me performing in improv comedy shows EVERY Friday & Saturday night as well as teaching improv workshops, plus a whole bunch of other fun stuff you can find out about at www.nctphoenix.com.
Keanu Reeves stole my heart as Ted Theodore Logan in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. The floppy haired philosophiser was, and remains, in my opinion, possibly the most beautiful and charming creature ever created by gods or men. Thus began my lifelong career as a Keanu enthusiast.
My favorite “Krissy loves Keanu” fact to share is that, at the age of about 12 or 13, I wrote a feature-length screenplay for Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure Part 3. Sadly, no copy exists.
Thank you for beginning this journey with me. There will be highs, there will be lows…there will be WHOAS.
This is Krissy reminding you, as always, to be EXCELLENT to each other and party on, dudes.
