WHOA E23: Youngblood and Demon

WHOA E23

This week on WHOA: A Most EXCELLENT Keanu Reeves podcast we watched “Youngblood” from 1986. And “The Neon Demon” from 2016. You had better not be afraid of hurting your pretty face in a 1980’s Canadian hockey fight, because pretty people get eaten when they see the Neon Demon.

Spoiler Alert

We will be chatting about the movies in their entirety. So if you want to know whether Dean Youngblood is able to conquer his fear of hockey “shirtsing” and win the day, or if Jesse the Model is able to make it big in the predatory world of modeling before we spoil it for you here…  you should watch the movies before you listen.

Episode 23 Features

Episode 23, you might notice, is missing the opening and closing wraps you might have grown accustomed to. Let us know what you think! Did you miss the wraps? Is it easier to get the news on whats comin’ atcha next from the post? Let us know in the comments!

“Youngblood” from 1986. Keanu is a blink and you miss him minor league hockey player on a team where Dean Youngblood strives to make his mark. Dean Youngblood, a resplendent 1986 Rob Lowe, might just be too pretty for hockey, and his fear of hocky fighting holds him back. Never fear, however, because Derek Sutton, a resplendent 1986 Patrick Swayze, is there to help!

If you really want to watch this movie, you may have to spring for a real life DVD on Amazon HERE.

In Episode 23 we also cover…

“The Neon Demon” from 2016. Keanu is a blink slightly longer and you miss him motel manager in the world of scary, evil Los Angeles where Jesse strives to make her mark. Jesse is a young and resplendent Elle Fanning who might just be too pretty for Los Angeles. Never fear, however, because there are a trio of scary, evil women there to help!

You can find “The Neon Demon” on either Google Play, YouTube or iTunes. I can not NOT recommend it highly enough.
