Changes Coming to Educating Geeks

EG is on a break

After four fabulous years there are some changes coming to Educating [Geeks]. Geek host Krissy joined executive producers Alice and Megan to talk about the changes and reflect back on the last four years (listen below). We hope our listeners have enjoyed listening to our content as much as we enjoyed creating it. We’ll continue to post to our Facebook and Twitter pages to let you know what the geek hosts are up and announce any events we’re attending, for example we hope to continue to bring Squeefest to Phoenix Comicon. We look forward to what new adventures the future brings!

Interview with Joyce Chin, Part 2

When I sat down with Joyce Chin at Phoenix Comicon 2016, I enjoyed myself so much that we ended up talking for a long time. Here is part two of our chat picking up right where part one ends. In this half we talk about female sexuality, the relativity of fame and her advice to people wanting to get into the business.

Interview with Joyce Chin, Part 1

Joyce Chin has been working in comics for over 20 years. Starting at DC, she has gone on to work for Marvel, Dark Horse, Top Cow, Dynamite Entertainment and others. Over the years, she has worked as a penciller and cover artist. I sat down with Joyce at her table in artist alley at Phoenix Comicon 2016. We chatted about how she got started in comics, what she loves about comics, the obligatory women in comics panel and more.  This is part one in a two part series.

Upcoming Topics in Q2 of 2016

Season 4 is well underway. We hope you have enjoyed our conversations about The X-files movie, Sailor Moon, Castle In The Sky and Highlander.

In the second quarter, the Educating [Geeks], E[G] Drinking Game podcasts along with Geek [Supplies] will bring you the show that started the clone club, a break out hit from Netflix and a classic 1980s movie staring the late Dave Bowie.  If you’re a newbie to any of these topics, we’ve included links to help you do your homework and everyone is welcome and encouraged to join in on the fun along with us!

Upcoming Topics in July, August and September 2015

We had a blast at Phoenix Comicon this year. Hopefully you joined us in the audience at one of our live podcast recordings or perhaps one of our other events. Now that we’ve recovered we’ll be getting back to our normal release schedule for the Educating [Geeks] and E[G] Drinking Game podcasts and associated Geek [Supplies]. First up will be the three topics we covered at Phoenix Comic Con and we’ll round out the quarter with a visit to one of the most beloved fandoms in all of fandom history. So plan to get yourself up-to-date with these topics and join in the conversation!
